Sell My Car Terms & Conditions (Motorflog Ltd)

1. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply when you use the Sell My Car service provided by Motorflog (“Website”).

The Website is operated by Motorflog Ltd (“Motorflog”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By requesting and accepting an offer for your vehicle, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms
  • You agree to be bound by them

2. Our Service

Sell My Car allows you to:

  • Provide details about your vehicle
  • Receive an offer from Motorflog
  • Choose whether to accept that offer

We aim to provide:

  • A fair, human-led offer
  • A simple and transparent process

3. Your Vehicle Information

When submitting your vehicle, you must ensure that:

  • All information provided is accurate and complete
  • You disclose all known faults, damage, and issues
  • The mileage is correct
    • The vehicle’s history (including accident or insurance status) is disclosed

You confirm that:

  • You are the legal owner of the vehicle, or authorised to sell it

If any information is found to be:

  • Inaccurate
  • Incomplete
  • Misleading

We reserve the right to:

  • Revise or withdraw any offer
  • Refuse to proceed with the purchase

4. Initial Offer

Any offer provided:

  • Is based on the information you supply
  • Is subject to verification and inspection

This means:

  • It is not a final binding price until the vehicle has been assessed

5. Inspection & Final Offer

Before completing a purchase, the vehicle will be:

  • Inspected upon collection, or
  • Inspected when delivered to our site

Following inspection:

  • We will confirm the original offer or
  • Provide a revised offer if the vehicle differs from the description

Reasons for adjustment may include:

  • Undisclosed damage or faults
  • Incorrect mileage
  • Missing items (keys, documents, etc.)
  • Differences in condition

You are under no obligation to accept a revised offer.

6. Our Pricing Promise

We aim to pay what we say.

This means:

  • If your vehicle is accurately described, the agreed price will not change

However:

  • Where the vehicle differs from the description provided, the offer may be adjusted accordingly

7. Acceptance of Offer

A binding agreement is formed when:

  • You accept the final offer following inspection

At this point:

  • You agree to sell the vehicle to Motorflog at the agreed price

8. Ownership & Seller Responsibilities

By selling your vehicle, you confirm that:

  • You are legally entitled to sell it
  • The vehicle is not stolen
  • There are no undisclosed claims or interests against it

You must provide:

  • All keys
  • Vehicle logbook (V5C), where available
  • Any relevant documentation

Where finance is outstanding:

  • You must disclose this
  • We may settle the finance as part of the transaction

9. Payment

Once a sale is agreed and the vehicle is handed over:

  • Payment will be made via bank transfer
  • Payment is typically made before we leave with the vehicle (or before you leave if dropping off)

Delays may occur in exceptional circumstances outside our control.

10. Refusal or Withdrawal

We reserve the right to:

  • Decline to purchase any vehicle
  • Withdraw an offer at any stage prior to agreement

You may:

  • Decline any offer
  • Choose not to proceed at any time before accepting the final offer

11. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

Subject to this:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
